2005.10.09 HVDB was added some functions and features. (1) Map viewer, which displays a map information by clicking 'Get data from map information' link, is added new mode, 'image mode'. The older (and still existing) mode is now called 'java mode'. In 'image mode', the map is displayed by a JPEG image file, so that the map can be printed out or saved to a file, although data extraction cannot be done in this mode. For more information, please see the manual. (2) Tree viewer, which displays a phylogenetic tree, is also added 'image mode' (and the older and still existing one is now called 'java mode'). In the mode, the tree is displayed by a JPEG image file, so that the tree can be printed out or saved to a file, although functions to obtain data sets are very restricted. For more information, please see the manual. (3) BLAST is added in similarity search service.
